About Kids Activity List
Updated November 2026
What KAL Is
Kids Activity List (KAL) is a Texas directory of kids activities, starting in Houston. Parents compare daycare, swim, martial arts, dance, and tutoring. A business owner can claim a free profile from the listing. KAL emails a code and reviews the claim. Edits stay off the public page until that review is done.
Where the Facts Come From
Daycare listings use the Texas Health and Human Services Commission childcare operation record, including the operation number, capacity, age groups, and weekday hours. Goldfish swim listings use that brand’s public location pages. Other swim, martial arts, dance, and tutoring listings use the address and phone published for that business. KAL writes its own description. Marketing copy from the provider is not pasted in.
What We Will Not Invent
When KAL does not have a price, a class ratio, a star rating, or an inspection score, that detail is left off the page. Parent reviews appear only after KAL approves them. Invented gyms, made-up streets, and 555 numbers are not published. KAL does not show an aggregate rating, so there is no review markup.
Who Checks a Page
A named editor will be listed here before the Houston daycare page is submitted to Google. Each published listing shows the month KAL last checked it. KAL does not yet record a person beside each check. The report page does not store a correction or send mail. An owner who claimed the listing can change hours, prices, and photos from the dashboard. Those edits wait for approval while the claim is pending.
Who Publishes It
KAL is a List Mavericks site. The public site is kidsactivitylist.com. Owner accounts and parent questions are part of this site. A claimed profile is reviewed before the owner’s edits appear.
